Snow had started to fall the previous night and it hadn't stopped since. The mountain was slowly getting covered up by a thick white blanket. Everything felt surreal, as if time had stopped a long time ago and had never started again. There was a village at the foot of the mountain where its inhabitants were preserving the beauty and traditions of a time that used to be. Most houses were close to the other and were made fallowing a similar design.

The night was silent. In one of those houses, a young man was sitting in the chair next to his window. The room was very simple. There was a low bed, a tiny desk and a furniture to put clothes in. Papers covered in an elegant and exotic writing were the only decoration along with a beautiful flower arrangement. The young man's knees were up and pressed against his chest. His shoulders were covered by a thin blanket while his hands were wrapped around a piece of fabric that they were softly caressing. His hair was falling messily around his face and over his shoulders.

The young man was thinking. Since his birth, he had experienced so much. He had made wonderful friends who had shared similar passions and interests before their lives had brought them apart. He had then moved to a new place by himself and experienced love for the first time. It was different now but love was still there, just felt and expressed another way. He had thought that his life couldn't get better after experiencing so much. He, of course, had to go through his fair share of difficult and painful moments (wasn't it after all one of the reasons of his presence here?). Tonight though, all the stress, the doubt, the unanswered questions, the worry...it had all been forgotten.

***

The young man slowly raises and throws one last loving glance at the beautiful winter scene. He then walks over to his bed and cautiously slip under the covers. There's a soft ruffling sound, followed by a tired voice. "Aoi? Is that you?" The young man's arm wrap around a waist and he scoots closer to the source of comforting warmth that was the person sharing his bed. A pair of soft lips leave a kiss over a toned shoulder before a little nose nuzzles an exposed neck. "Sssh, go back to sleep", words are murmured and the breath exhaled tickles the sensible skin of an ear. The ruffling sound makes itself heard again but is rapidly followed by a pair of strong arms wrapping around the delicate body of the young man, enveloping him into a warm embrace.

The young man carefully brushes some strands of blonde hair out of his lover's face before going to caress a rosy cheek lovingly. He could feel the steady breathing of his lover, caressing the skin of his chest, a sign that Morphée had welcomed back into his arms, a soul in search of peaceful rest for a couple of hours. The young man looks at his lover one last time before allowing himself to sleep. Silence regains possession of the room and tightly clutched into one of the young man's hands, was a simple strip of pale fabric covered with silver designs of abstract lines and flowers...It was a noseband.

[[OOC comments are always welcomed and loved ♥ ]]
